The most cinematic wedding entrance on the lake: a walk between the stone pillars and wooden beams of the 18th-century lemon house, the iconic structure of the Riviera dei Limoni, all the way to an altar facing the lake.

The highest point of the estate, next to the main villa, with views across the whole lake to Monte Baldo. The perfect spot for drinks after the ceremony, cutting the cake or a sunset speech.

Below the lemon house, the olive terraces form long, level spaces: perfect for imperial tables among the trees, with the lake in the background and string lights glowing as the sun goes down.

Around the saltwater pool there is a wide, level area: this is where the dancing happens, and where a marquee can go up if the weather turns. Bose sound system, outdoor shower, sun loungers and umbrellas.

Right on the pool: a panoramic bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a family lodge on three levels, set into the rock of the lemon house.

Limonaia dei Dogi is in Gargnano, on the Riviera dei Limoni, on the same street as Villa Bettoni, the 18th-century residence of the Bettoni counts with its historic garden on the lake. If you are getting married at Villa Bettoni, the Limonaia can be the couple’s home, the place to get ready or the venue for the day-after party.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Limonaia dei Dogi host?
The villa sleeps 16 in three buildings. For intimate weddings the venue is ideal for 30–35 guests; for other events we agree the numbers together based on the spaces and the programme.
What happens if it rains?
Around the pool there is a wide, level area where a marquee can be set up, so the celebration can carry on even in bad weather.
Can we hold the ceremony in the lemon house?
Yes, the lemon house is perfect for a symbolic ceremony, with the walk between pillars and beams to a lake-view altar. A legally binding ceremony requires specific procedures and permits: we help you understand how to arrange it.
How far is Villa Bettoni?
Villa Bettoni is on the same street, a few minutes’ walk away. For couples marrying there, the Limonaia can host the couple, family and friends, or the getting-ready and the day-after party.
Where do additional guests stay?
Up to 16 people can stay in the villa. For other guests, Hotel Livia is a few steps from our entrance on the same street, and there are more places to stay within walking distance in Gargnano.
Do you provide catering, music and decorations?
We provide the venue and the accommodation, and connect you with trusted local planners, chefs, caterers and decorators. The villa has a Bose sound system in the pool area.
